Accomplishments
In
my early years, I was an accomplished classical pianist, winning several awards
through the Royal Conservatory of Music. I also did a lot of solo singing work.
2010-2013 - Judge – 3 yrs. Calgary Stampede – Creative Arts & Crafts
All
of the Awards (unless otherwise noted) have been won through the Calgary
Exhibition & Stampede…the only juried show for dolls in Western Canada

member of the Samaritan Club – early 1980’s

queen size quilts…one for a community fundraiser…the second one was machine
stitched and hand quilted in 6 weeks for the yearly dinner and auction for the
Women’s Emergency Shelter…The quilt raised over $1400.00!
Teaching Experience
I am a Self –Taught
Artist. I began teaching over 30 years ago…in the mid 1970’s…I started teaching
at Time-Outs for Mothers with kids who needed a break for a couple of hours…I
taught a variety of craft-like projects as well as crocheting, etc….
I have continued to teach various arts and crafts through the
years…privately & at shows.
I began teaching Needle Felting in 2003
and continued for 5 years

No formal training in the arts…I am a Self-Taught Artist
Elementary
Private High School – Alma College in Ontario
University…went back in 1986 to pursue a Nursing Degree
Music Education…Piano/Theory
began at the age of 6 years through the Royal Conservatory of Music. Credentials
to teach piano by the age of 14yrs.
